Why do 1st-4th graders use a clinic format instead of just playing games?
In young lacrosse players, skill-building is critical. Focusing on skill-based training, rather than prioritizing games, is crucial for developing a strong foundation in stick handling, shooting, and other fundamental techniques.

WHEN ARE EVALUATIONS?
All 5th -8th grade players will practice with their grade level technical coaches for the first two weeks of the season (in March). The Tech coaches will evaluate the players at these preseason practices and the players will be placed on appropriate teams prior to the first game. Each player will have multiple opportunities to demonstrate their ability and understanding of the game. This takes the pressure off our players and gives our tech coaches a clear picture which allows for a more natural progression into the spring season.
